Rancho Palos Verdes

This weekend we headed back to the ocean, to a cute little town called Rancho Palos Verdes. I love the names of these places. Doesn’t it sound exotic? We checked out a gorgeous resort called Tarranea. It was like being transported to another world …

We headed through the main resort and down the stairs to the outdoor restaurant located on the hotel property.

Right when we got to the bottom of the hill, I noticed a bride and groom and had to take a couple of shots (from far away. I didn’t want to scare them. πŸ™‚ )It was such a perfect setting for a wedding. Out here, there’s a pretty good chance that if you’re watching the sun set on the beach on a Saturday, you’re going to see some vows being exchanged. ❀

There was live music and an outdoor bar, and we settled in to watch the sunset. Lots of other people had the same idea!

The birds wanted to watch too …

The sun set really quickly once it started moving. I will never get tired of Southern California at twilight…

Starting to slip away.

Even after the sun set, the sky kept turning colors for another hour or so. It was a perfect weekend evening. πŸ™‚

The birds say have a good Monday. πŸ™‚
